Initiating Agent Acknowledgement of Buyer Agreement

In March 2024, the National Association of Realtors (NAR) entered into a settlement with US regulators and various states which requires NAR buyer agent members to enter into written contracts with their buyer clients detailing what services the buyers’ agent will perform.

For “for sale” property showings (as opposed to, e.g. or, rental home showings), on or before August 1st, 2024, Showami will add to the Showami Platform an “Initiating Agent Acknowledgment (“IAA”) allowing any Initiating Agent to disclose (or not) whether it has a written and signed agreement with the relevant buyer. The reply to the IAA will be immediately viewable by the Showing Agent, who will then either accept or decline the Showing Agent Services request.
